Mothers used to start embroidering Phulkaris for their daughters long before their daughters were ready for wedding. These Phulkaris were then given to them when they got married.
We didn’t have phones or video calls that time. So when a daughter would miss her mother, she would take out her Phulkari and hug it so tight like she would hug her beloved mother 🤗😘
